Alexis Baudendistel

Beloved Connersville native, Alexis K. Baudendistel, 25, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

The daughter of Aarika Steele Osborn and W.J. Wells, Lexi was born on August 18, 1999. She graduated from Connersville High School in 2018. She was a member of the FFA and Fayette County 4H. Lexi married her love, Jacob Baudendistel, on June 20, 2020 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. A woman of faith, she attended First Baptist and most recently Baptist Temple. Lexi was an incredible artist and the proud owner of AWB Photography. In addition, she managed Wells Variety Store, managed and designed at The Rustic Loft, and helped with her husband’s business when needed. Lexi was a hard-worker, but she never let any of it get in the way of being the best Mommy to her children. In her spare time, you could find Lexi baking, painting, gardening, admiring the wildflowers, or spending time with her favorite people. She was small, but her love was mighty, and she was never afraid to show it. Though her family is devastated, they find comfort in knowing she is a Hero as she saved multiple lives as an organ donor.

In addition to her husband: Jacob, Lexi is survived by her mother: Aarika and Chuck Osborn; father: W.J and Jessica Wells; children: Charlie, Willie and Ginny; siblings: Maria and Nick Mustin, Grace Osborn, Lola Wells; grandparents: Harold and Eddie Steele, Leona Osborn, Roger and Cindy Wells; father and mother-in-law: Kyle and Hope Baudendistel; brothers-in-law: Kevin and Kurt Baudendistel; many uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family members, colleagues, and friends too numerous to mention.

A celebration of Lexi’s life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Connersville Baptist Temple, 1380 IN-44 Connersville, Indiana 47331 with Pastor Joe Ferriera officiating. Friends may visit at the church from 11:00 a.m., until the time of service. On behalf of Lexi, visitors are asked to send wildflowers and come dressed as you are, wearing bright colors, floral patterns, etc. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriners Children’s Hospital. Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
