Bobby Grays

Bobby Grays, 91, of Connersville and formerly of Sun City, Arizona died Monday, September 1, 2025, with his daughter by his side.

The son of Ernest Sr., and Effie Mae Lawson Grays, Bobby was born on June 28, 1934, in Kensley, Kentucky. He proudly enlisted into the United States Army and later, the United States Air Force where he served two tours in Korea as a MP. Bobby was employed as an over the road truck driver. He loved his truck and the time he spent traveling in it. In addition, he enjoyed watching football and bull riding.

Bobby is survived by his children: Jeffery Grays, Belynda Grays, Douglas Grays, Norman Grays and Robert Grays; grandchildren: Carl Smith, Calvin B. Smith, Logan Grays, Robin Grays, Jarrett Grays, Dallin Grays; seven great-grandchildren; special friend: Ms. Mary; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his brothers: Ernest Grays Jr., Charles Grays.

At Bobby’s request, no public services will be conducted. Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
