Crystal L Ewing

Crystal L. Ewing, 58, of Liberty, died suddenly on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Reid Health in Richmond.

The daughter of Dean and Barbara Ervine Robinson, Crystal was born on August 24, 1967, in Connersville, Indiana. She grew up in Union County, graduating from the High School in 1985. Crystal married the love of her life, Milton Ewing, on June 24, 1989, in his childhood home and their current residence. She was still actively employed and worked in sales for multiple shoe companies including Stride Rite. Crystal was a tough woman and true fighter who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 and was in remission until 2021. She was a proud wife, mother, and grandmother who adored nothing more than spending her time with her family. Crystal’s love had no bounds and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her father Dean and his wife Susan, Crystal is survived by her husband of thirty-five years: Milton Ewing; daughter: Morgan Schwegman and her husband Daniel; grandchildren: Thatcher and Emma; sister: Angel Wolfe and David; niece: Kimber Robinson; many friends, co-workers, and extended family members.

Crystal is preceded in death by her mother: Barbara Robinson; mother-in-law: Dorothy Ewing.

Per Crystal’s wishes cremation was chosen. A celebration of her life will be conducted at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Union County Cancer Association, P.O. Box 293, Liberty, IN 47353 in Crystal’s honor. Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty has been entrusted with her arrangements.
