Dean Connell

Dean R. Connell 64, died Wednesday, May 24, 2025, at his residence.

Dean was born in Bamberg, Germany on May 6, 1961, to Joseph Connell and Lora Hanlore Barfles Connell. He attended North Central High School in Farmersburg, Indiana graduating with the class of 1980. Dean was employed at Visteon and Fayette Tool & Dye. He later became a self-employed contractor for many years. Dean was a hard working yet simple man who typically kept to himself. He enjoyed tending to his house and working in his yard. Dean’s life changed forever after losing his son Joe Connell in a tragic car accident in 2011. Joe was Dean’s entire world, and he’s been grieving the loss of his son ever since. Though the family is saddened by Dean’s sudden death, they find peace and comfort knowing he is reunited with Joe once again.

Dean is survived by his brother: Michael Connell and his fiancé Gina Bishop; sister: Irene Green; canine companion: Buddy; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his son Joe, Dean is preceded in death by his father Joseph.

A Celebration of Life at the Connersville VFW post #571 will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Dean will be laid to rest at Dale Cemetery.
