Georgianna Snoddy

Lifetime Connersville resident, Georgianna Snoddy, 80, died at her residence, Caroleton Manor of Connersville on May 14, 2025.

Georgianna was born on July 16, 1944, to the late Lewis Leroy Green and Royanna Whitaker Green Spivey. She attended Connersville High School. Georgianna married the love of her life, Gary Lane Snoddy Sr., on June 27, 1970. She was employed at Miller’s Cafeteria from 1975 until her retirement in 1999. She was later employed at Noble Roman’s Pizza. Georgianna was a member of the Bunco Club, who gathered at Robert’s Park. In her spare time, Georgianna enjoyed playing bingo and listening to a wide variety of music. In June of 2004, she suffered a stroke and began her residence at Lincoln Centers, (currently Majestic Care of Connersville,) until February of 2018. Since, Georgianna has been a faithful resident of Caroleton Manor; she considered everyone there part of her family. Her devoted husband spent twenty plus years tending to, caring for, and loving her more than he did the day before. Together, they shared many memories on the patio at Caroleton with their children, family, and friends. Georgianna’s love for her husband was everlasting. She has missed him dearly since his death on May 19, 2024. Though heartbroken, their family finds comfort in knowing they are at peace, and together once again.

Georgianna is survived by her daughter: Lori (Daniel) Adams of Fort Wayne, Indiana and son, Gary (Katherine Young) Lane Snoddy Jr. of Connersville; grandson, Breven Adams; sisters: Nancy McClain, Rita (Jack) Loyd as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband Gary of fifty-four years, Georgianna is preceded in death by her stepfather: Orville Spivey; brother: Lewis Leroy Green Jr.; sisters: Janet Rae Bailey and Roberta Gilbert.

Visitation for family and friends will be conducted from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville. The funeral service for Georgianna will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the funeral home with Eric Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery, Section L. Memorial contributions may be made to the Riley Children’s Hospital in Georgianna’s honor.
