Jerry D. Ward

Jerry D. Ward, 86, of Connersville, died Saturday, November 8, 2025, at his residence, Hickory Creek Nursing Home.

The son of the late William Darwin Ward and Duley Pebworth Ward Maze, Jerry was born on May 9, 1939 in Fayette County, Indiana. He attended Connersville Senior High graduating with the class of 1958. Jerry was employed at Ford for many years, as a supervisor. When he was younger, Jerry had a passion for drag racing. More recently, He enjoyed trips to the casino, collecting stamps and going antiquing with his family. After a long day hunting for antiques, Jerry and his family would enjoy his favorite burgers at Frisch’s.

Jerry is survived by his only daughter: Donielia Bunch.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by the mother of his daughter: Jane Ward; son-in-law: Daniel Bunch.

An inurnment will be conducted at Dale Cemetery at the convience of the family. Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville has been entrusted with arrangements.
