Kit Mann, 64, of Connersville died peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025, at his residence.

The son of Jim and Cathy Lone Mann, Kit was born on December 29, 1960 in Connersville. He was raised in Davenport, Iowa. Following his Highschool graduation Kit enlisted in the United States Army. He proudly served his country as a Military Police Officer. After his honorable discharge, Kit continued working as a police officer in Iowa. He returned to the Connersville area in 1998 and began working at STI in Greensburg. Later that year, Kit met the love of his life, Karen McQueen, they have been inseparable ever since. He was an incredible musician who wrote his own music and played it on his Ovation guitar. Kit loved traveling with Karen and spending time together at their home. He will be missed by the family and friends he leaves behind.

In addition to his partner of twenty-seven years: Karen, Kit is survived by his mother: Kathy Mann; sons: Chris and Michael Mann; step-children: Jason, Joshua, and Mandy McQueen; brothers: Thomas and Edward Mann; sister: Jodi Foor; grandchildren: Jordan Mann, Trystyn Mann, Brantley Mann, Caden Mann, Lindsey Dickie, Zack McQueen, Ian Rentfrow, Victoria McQueen, Harley Combs, Benn McQueen, Sierra McQueen, Maddie Dulworth, Ashley McQueen, Autumn McQueen, Brentlee McQueen; ten great-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Kit is preceded in death by his father: Jim; grandson: Matthew Jordan; uncle: Dave Himelick.

At this time, no public service will be held and inurnment will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Kit’s honor. Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
