Robert Lone

Robert Lone, 66, of Connersville died peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, surrounded by the people he loved.

A Connersville native, Robert was born on September 2, 1959, to Norman Sr., and Connie Lutz Lone. Following his high school graduation, Robert attended IU and later earned his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Phoenix. A man of great faith, Robert was an involved and faithful member of Harrisburg Union Church. He married the love of his life, the former Melissa Back at their church. They celebrated their twenty-eighth anniversary on July 12. Robert was employed as a supervisor with Custom Extrusions for many years. In 2009, He started In The Blind Foundation Inc., after losing his eyesight. The foundation assisted with a variety of adaptive equipment for the blind. Robert had a heart of gold, and he couldn’t resist helping someone in need. He adored coaching girls softball, taking in children that needed a little extra love, and playing the guitar. Above all, his greatest loves were Jesus, Melissa, his children, and grandchildren.

In addition to his loving wife, Robert is survived by his daughters: Sasha Eisenburg, Mandy Gray, Misty Bautista; grandchildren: Parker Gray, Braxton Gray, Carter Lone, Abel Bautista, Mateo Ramos; brother: Norman Lone Jr.; sister: Alice Cooley; many friends and extended family members.

Robert is preceded in death by his son: Cole; parents: Norman Sr., and Connie.

A visitation for friends and family will be conducted from 11:00 a.m., until 12:00 p.m., on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Immediately following visitation, Robert will be laid to rest at Valley Grove Cemetery.
