Threasa V. Schwegman, age 71, of Liberty, Indiana, passed away at her residence on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Born on May 26, 1954, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Threasa was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Joyce (Liming) Napier and was one of five children. She was a 1972 graduate of Short High School in Liberty, Indiana. On September 28, 1974, she married the love of her life, Stephen Schwegman, who survives her.
For many years, Threasa was the co-owner of the family business, Napier and Napier, where she served as bookkeeper. She also was a longtime employee and bookkeeper for Phi Delta Theta Headquarters until her retirement in 2016. She was a member of St. Bridget’s Catholic Church. In her younger years, she enjoyed sewing and cake decorating.
Above all, Threasa treasured her family. She was hospitable and enjoyed hosting family, whether it was for a family holiday or simple coffee break. Her door was always open.
Being a wife, mother, and grandmother was her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment she spent with them.
Threasa will be remembered for her selfless love and support, always putting others before herself. She had a quiet strength and unwavering faith that helped her persevere through life's challenges.
In addition to her beloved husband, Stephen, of over 51 years, Threasa is survived by two children: Steve (Becky) Schwegman of Fishers, Indiana, and Ashley (Scott) Otto of Liberty, Indiana; four grandchildren: Ethan Schwegman, Kylie Schwegman, Aiden Otto, and Alaina Otto; three sisters: Tara McCreary, Tonya (Abe) Dare, and Tammy (David) Drudy, all of Liberty. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, many extended family members, and dear friends.
Threasa was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert D. Napier.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Showalter Blackwell Funeral Home, located at 312 West Union Street, Liberty.
Rev. Dustin Boehm will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Bridget Parish in Liberty, IN. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Oxford, OH.
